1. Overview
This privacy policy explains how SumDesk ("SumDesk", "we", "us") handles information when you use this website and its tools. SumDesk is an independent project. You can reach the operator using the contact details at the end of this page.
SumDesk is designed as a browser-first utility site. There are no user accounts, no uploads of tool inputs, and no server-side copy of the text, files, tokens or passwords you enter into the tools. When advertising is enabled, the site uses third-party advertising to fund itself, and that advertising may involve cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
2. What we collect
Content you enter into tools
Tool input is processed by JavaScript in your browser. We do not receive it. This includes text pasted into the word counter, JSON payloads, JWTs, images, passwords, colors and QR code content. There is no upload endpoint for these inputs.
Technical data from hosting
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device information, the pages requested, timestamps, referring pages and security signals. Cloudflare handles this information under its own privacy terms, primarily to serve content, prevent abuse and keep the site available.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and anything you choose to attach. We use that information to reply and to improve the site. Please do not send passwords, private tokens or other secrets by email.
3. Local storage and your browser
The site uses your browser's local storage for a small number of functional preferences. These stay on your device and are not sent to us:
- Theme preference — whether you chose the light or dark interface.
- Word counter draft — the last text entered in the word counter, so a refresh does not lose it.
- Recent tools — a short list of tool pages you opened, used to order the search palette.
You can clear this data through your browser's site-data settings. Clearing site data removes the draft and recent-tool list. The site does not set its own tracking cookies.
4. Advertising and cookies
SumDesk may use Google AdSense to display advertising on some pages once the site is approved and advertising is enabled. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to serve, measure and improve ads. Advertising is intended to be kept outside the immediate working area of each tool; the site does not use pop-up or interstitial ad formats.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and/or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info to learn about opting out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising. Opting out does not mean you will stop seeing ads; it means ads may be less relevant to you.
Where required by law, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, advertising partners must obtain consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before using cookies for personalized advertising. Non-personalized ads may still use cookies or local storage for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention. You can withdraw or change consent using the privacy choices presented by the consent message or your browser controls.
We do not control third-party cookies directly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking all cookies may affect how ads are displayed but does not affect the operation of the tools.
5. Analytics and aggregate measurement
The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics or similar privacy-oriented aggregate measurement to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. Such analytics, where enabled, is designed to report aggregated page-level information without creating advertising profiles of individual visitors. We do not use analytics to inspect the contents of tool inputs, which never leave your browser.
6. Third parties and external links
Our main service providers are Cloudflare (hosting, security and content delivery) and Google (advertising). Fonts, icons and the QR generation library are served from this site rather than from external font or script services. Some pages and the privacy choices above link to external websites, including Google and industry opt-out pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
7. How long information is kept
We do not store tool inputs. Local preferences remain in your browser until you clear them or they are overwritten. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to answer and maintain a record of the conversation, unless a longer period is required by law. Hosting and advertising providers retain technical and advertising data according to their own policies and retention periods.
8. Your choices and legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because SumDesk does not maintain user accounts or store tool inputs, we may have little or no personal data that identifies you. Where a request concerns email you sent us, we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Under California law, we do not sell personal information. Third-party advertising technology may process data as described in the advertising section; you can opt out of personalized advertising through the links above and control cookies through your browser. To exercise a privacy right, email us at za9208820@gmail.com.
If you are a business customer or sponsor, separate terms may apply to information exchanged in that relationship.
9. Children
The site is a general-audience utility site and is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, its providers or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Questions about privacy, data or this policy can be sent to za9208820@gmail.com. This address is also the contact point for the site operator.
