About this tool
Why it exists.
Job adverts quote a yearly salary, freelance work is priced by the hour and part-time roles use weekly hours. Comparing them means converting between the units. The usual shortcut for a full-time job is 40 hours a week for 52 weeks, or 2,080 hours a year.
This converter lets you set your own hours per week and paid weeks per year, so it also works for part-time jobs and unpaid leave. Choose Salary to hourly to see hourly, daily, weekly and monthly pay, or Hourly to salary to find the yearly amount for a given rate. All figures are before tax.
How to use it.
- Choose Salary to hourly or Hourly to salary.
- Enter the amount, the hours per week and the paid weeks per year.
- Read the hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly figures.
