About this tool

Why it exists.

Different websites and apps ask for different image formats. JPG suits photos, PNG suits graphics with sharp edges or transparency, and WebP often gives the smallest files. This tool converts between them without uploading anything.

Add one or many images, pick the output format, adjust quality and optionally set a maximum width. The converted files appear in a list so you can download them one by one, or all together as a ZIP. Converting re-encodes the image, which also removes most embedded metadata.

How to use it.

  1. Add one or more images.
  2. Choose JPG, PNG or WebP, and set quality or maximum width.
  3. Press Convert and download your files.

Good questions.

Which format should I choose?

Use JPG for photos, PNG when you need transparency or perfect sharpness, and WebP for the smallest files on modern websites.

Does converting to JPG lose quality?

JPG is a lossy format, so some detail is discarded. A quality of 85–90% is usually hard to tell from the original.

What happens to transparency?

PNG and WebP can keep it. JPG cannot, so transparent areas become white.
