About this tool

Why it exists.

Slides, forms and reports are often needed as pictures, for example to insert into a document or post online. This tool draws each page of a PDF as an image at the resolution you choose.

Choose PNG for sharp text or JPG for smaller files, pick a resolution and an optional page range, and press Convert. You can download single pages or everything as a ZIP. Pages are rendered by your browser, so the PDF is not sent anywhere.

How to use it.

  1. Open a PDF.
  2. Choose the format, resolution and pages.
  3. Press Convert and download the images.

Good questions.

What resolution should I choose?

150 dpi is good for screens and most uses. Choose 300 dpi for printing. Higher resolution makes bigger files.

PNG or JPG?

PNG keeps text and line art sharp. JPG gives smaller files for pages with photos.

Why is a page smaller than I expected?

Very large pages are scaled down automatically to stay within your browser's memory limits.
