About this tool
Why it exists.
Drafts need a DRAFT stamp, confidential files need a clear warning, and long documents need page numbers. Doing this in a PDF editor can be slow or paid, so this tool does it directly in your browser.
Type your watermark and choose its size, opacity, angle and colour, and/or turn on page numbers with the format, position and starting number you prefer. The new PDF downloads straight away with a preview of its first page. Your original file stays untouched and nothing is uploaded.
How to use it.
- Open a PDF.
- Set the watermark and page number options.
- Press Apply and download the new PDF.

Can I add page numbers without a watermark?
Yes. Leave the watermark text blank and keep Add page numbers ticked.
Can I start numbering from a number other than 1?
Yes. Change Start at. This is useful when the document is a continuation of another.
Why does my watermark text fail?
The built-in font supports Latin letters only. Characters such as Arabic, Chinese or emoji cannot be drawn with it.
